Project flow chart

STEP 1 - DATA INPUT STEPS

  • Collection of input data from the Customer
  • Check if all the input data required are present and consistent
  • Iteration until the complete definition of the input data
  • End input data steps

STEP 2 - DATA INPUT ANALYSIS

  • Analysis input data collected
  • Choice of optimal typology
  • Verification of compliance with the performance, electrical and mechanical.
  • Verification of Standards regulations, safety and EMI
  • End data analysis steps

STEP 3 - DESIGN SIMULATIONS

  • Simulations of typology performances
  • Electrical simulations
  • Thermal and electromagnetic simulations
  • Verification of simulations results
  • End simulations steps

STEP 4 - DEFINITION MAGNETIC COMPONENTS

  • Select typology of magnetic components, from available product range
  • Preliminary magnetic components design
  • Check calculation results, have to be compliance with the input requirements
  • Design definition of selected magnetic components
  • If unavailable magnetic components, from standard product range, jump to the â¨next step

STEP 5 - DEFINITION MAGNETIC COMPONENTS

  • Design a new magnetic component
  • 3D design
  • Fast prototyping samples
  • Test samples performance
  • End definition magnetic components

STEP 6 - POWER SUPPLY DESIGN

  • Design schematic diagram, based on simulations results
  • Design the EMI filter
  • Design PCB to comply to safety creepage and clearance distance
  • Verify compliance with mechanical and electrical design requirements
  • Define BOM

STEP 7 - POWER SUPPLY DESIGN

  • Assembly of components on the PCB

STEP 8 - POWER SUPPLY DESIGN

  • Define a setup of measures
  • Test and debug power supply
  • Check load and overload conditions
  • Check thermal conditions
  • Iterate until the requirements of the â¨project are satisfied
  • Generate the measure report, to â¨compile the technical documentation
  • End design procedure

STEP 9 - EMI PRE-COMPLIANCE MEASURE

  • Define a setup of measures
  • EMI conducted measure
  • If needed re-design the EMI filter and/or PCB layout
  • Iterate until the requirements of the project are satisfied
  • Generate the measure report, to compile the technical documentation
  • End EMI pre-compliance

STEP 10 – ISSUING TECHNICAL REPORT

  • Issuing technical report
  • Deliver demoboard, magnetic components sets, technical report
  • End project
